Android Pairing Guide

Every Find My Tools tracker sold in an Android variant talks to Google Find Hub — the same network your phone uses to find itself. There is no app of ours to install, no account to create and nothing to subscribe to. Pairing takes about five minutes, and once it is done your gear shows up in Find Hub next to your phone and your earbuds.
Which products pair with Android

Before you start

Pairing in five steps
Menu names move around a little between Samsung, Pixel, Motorola and Oppo, and between Android versions — but the order of operations is the same on all of them.
Turn on the network
Pairing gets the tracker onto your phone. This setting is what lets you find it once it is out of Bluetooth range — the difference between a last-known location and a live one. It takes ten seconds and most people never touch it.

If it will not pair
Work down this list in order. Nine times out of ten it is the first or second row.

SYMPTOM |
FIX |
|
No pop-up appears at all |
Keep the Find Hub app open, hold the tracker within 30 cm of the phone, then lock and unlock the phone to force a fresh scan. Give it a full minute. |
|
Pop-up appears, then pairing fails |
Turn Bluetooth off and back on, switch the phone from Wi-Fi to 4G/5G (some networks and VPNs block the pairing handshake), restart the phone and retry. |
|
It keeps dropping out mid-setup |
The tracker is probably low. Put it on the Qi charger for 30 minutes and start again — and keep it still, within arm’s length, for the whole flow. |
|
It shows in Bluetooth settings but not in Find Hub |
It was added the wrong way. Tap the gear icon next to it in Bluetooth settings, choose Forget, then pair again using the Fast Pair pop-up. |
|
It pairs but the map shows nothing |
Set Find your offline devices to “With network in all areas”, allow Find Hub location access, and make sure the phone has a screen lock set. |
|
A second-hand tracker won’t pair |
It is still tied to the previous owner’s Google account. They need to remove it from their Find Hub, or the tracker needs a factory reset. |
|
The location updates slowly |
Normal in quiet areas — the network needs another Android phone to walk or drive past. Updates get much more frequent around traffic and town. |

Good to know
Sharing with your crew
In Find Hub you can share a tracker with up to ten other people, so an offsider or a partner can locate the trailer without borrowing your phone. Open the tracker, tap Share ownership and send the invitation — they have 24 hours to accept.
Selling the tool on
Remove the tracker from Find Hub before the gear leaves your hands, with the tracker nearby so it can be wiped properly. Otherwise the next owner cannot pair it.
If your gear is stolen
Do not go and get it yourself. Take a screenshot of the location in Find Hub, note the timestamp, and give it to police along with your serial numbers and receipts. A tracker is evidence, not a licence to knock on a stranger’s door.
The short version
Print this page, cut along the dotted line and leave it with the tracker.
